Colombian Vampires!

After almost three years, I finally made it back to one of my favourite spots in South America. The Orinoco!!! This time I filmed for a new episode of Andree's Expeditions fishing show for Amazon Prime Video. The target specied this time was the Payara, also known as the Vampire Fish! Payaras are one of the apex predators in the Orinoco and they use their fangs to puncture the swim bladder of their prey. Which then becomes an easy picking.
Tough conditions, brutal heat and blood thirsty sand flies made this project more challenging. But at the end my guys and I enjoyed the fantastic fishing in the crazy Orinoco Rapids!
